You can tell he wishes this project were made 15-20 years earlier so that the Mabel character could be his love interest (but even then it would still be creepy).

Fifteen to twenty years earlier, when he was only fifty-five or sixty? Still old enough to be her dad. An unlikely couple, unless he was rich and she was a gold digger.
