Big nose
So, the big nose vs. The little person issue isn't really that big of a deal. The reason behind the big nose is two fold: 1. Big noses were associated with high intelligence at the time of the original story. 2. It's hard to hide.
The little person aspect serves the second point. But hey, who cares? If it's done well and is entertaining, then it's all good. I enjoyed Roxanne a lot. Hopefully this will be done well enough so people will rewatch it. If not, It'll be forgotten. Good movies are rewatched. Bad movies get rewatched and reviewed by hilarious internet commentators.
