Was Alex supposed to seem too 'perfect'?
Just watched the movie for the first time and enjoyed it. I noticed throughout the movie Alex's character is extremely flat and one dimensional. He's a dull character with little to no personality; He's attractive, loyal, can make her laugh, knows just how to romance her, respects her boundaries and so on. Was he supposed to be this way since Jo had been fantasizing about him all of those years (like when you have a crush in high school and they seem like the most perfect person ever to exist)?
I've never fooled anyone. I've let people fool themselves.
