while i sure this is a troll thread as I cant imagine anyone actually watching only 5 mins of a film and declaring it a snoozefest and horrible movie
But I figured I'd respond anyway because I had an ODD viewing experience
I'm a Huge Scorsese fan and Had been anticipating The Irishman for over a year, But i must admit, I came into the film with the completely wrong expectations...
I had never read the book the film is based on, I knew next to nothing about Frank in real life, I came into the movie expecting it to be basically a chronicle of Franks hits, I thought it would be more action and Killing than drama, and to be honest, I had no clue it was going to focus and tell the story of Hoffa's Killing, I didnt even know the story that Frank confessed.
so here I am Looking for to The Irishman for all the wrong reasons expecting it to be basically an action movie about brutal Hits...
Long story short....
I got maybe 25 mins into the film before I decided to pause and watch the rest later...
I didnt think what I had watched was "bad'....but just Boring...as I was expecting action and Killing...
Over the next 4 days, I continued to struggled to watch the film and maybe got through 15 mins at a time...
on the 5th day, I was around 1 hour and 30 min. Mark when I started and finished the film
The Last 2 hours was Amazing, Immediately after finishing the film I thought back to the first hour and half and realized it was amazing too...I just had the wrong expectations going into it....
Bottom line though the reason why I decided to reply to this troll thread is....
If YOUR NOT Trolling...If your actually telling the truth and really did watch only 5 minutes of a 3 and 1/2 film and somehow decided it was "Awful and Boring" off 5 minutes...simply put you made A Disastrous Mistake that honestly I just feel SAD for you....
If you really did inexcusably determine off of 5 mins of run time the film was awful and boring, that awful decision of yours resulted in you missing out on an incredible movie....
and again whats so Stunningly Absurd about this is, how you came to the decision that resulted in you missing out on such a great film...

I'd have no problem if you actually watched at least enough of the film to actually be able to make an educated decision....
but IF YOU ARE Telling the truth....you watched so little of the film you couldnt possibly have JUST CAUSE to come to the conclusion it was "horrible and Boring"
If YOU are telling the truth and Not just trolling....for some reason you made a terrible mistake based on virtually NO Evidence that resulted in you missing out an incredible film...
I certainly know that around the 3rd day when i was about 45 mins in and was still struggling, I was considering giving up and not watching any more, I thought at that Point I had given the film A chance and seen enough to warrant it just wasnt for me....NO WORDS can express how glad I am I didnt stop, Had I stopped, I would have Missed out on something truly special...
SADLY you missed out on something truly special for what appears to be Literally The absolute worst and most pathetic reason possible...

Say...since you are questioning the OP on whether he is "telling the truth", did you ever honor your promise to @dmac to give the name and dates of your "5 1/2 day trip to a comic convention" starting Sunday morning(I'm assuming) October 13th? That was when you disappeared and LATER EXPLAINED when I pressed you that you didn't want to post on your phone when the numbers were released. Remember you said you "couldn't wait" to see me "lose" in a challenge you unilaterally imposed on me on SATURDAY OCT 12th but you couldn't be bothered to make even ONE taunting post? And after your uninvited badgering of me...you made NO MENTION of this "5 1/2 day trip to a comic convention" the very day that you were saying you couldn't wait for Sunday's numbers to come out you AT NO TIME said "hey...im going to be away from the boards for the next few days but I'll be back in a week to rub your nose in this 'loss'"?
LOL...in fact, you never touched the subject again until I confronted you about it when you sheepishly reappeared on the boards posting to other people about "other stuff".
Did you or did you not honor your promise to give the convention name and dates to "anyone that wanted them" besides myself?

I get that You experience almost nothing but failure on this board MISSING on a near 100% basis, Its not often you get a chance to brag about Winning, I could completely understand You taking this opportunity to BRAG if you actually Won and were right.....but you Sabotaged yourself, You changed your predictions and were WRONG.....I think thats what this comes down to if were being honest....You were so close to being RIGHT and So Close to a Win, and You simply cant accept that you sabotaged yourself and Blew it....
I Will not be responding back to anything you say on this subject anymore(and to be honest, just for right now, I'm not going to respond back to anything you say if negatively) I'm just not capable right now of going down that road, I'm not going to be as active as I was for a while as I'm going through some difficult times....

I never made a "prediction" I was posting about chatter that the projections most sites were making were way too low. 15 million too low and I said I tend to agree with that.
YOU came at ME laughing that "NO WAY" was it going to make 57 million and that it would make 48-49 AT BEST.
Hilariously...you turned it into a "challenge" where you said "as long as it doesn't get anywhere close to 57 million" that you would "win" and I would "lose".
