It was hard to watch portrayals of children suffering. But this was a story that needed to be told. People need to be reminded about how heroic the British were in WWII and it is pretty amazing that this guy’s work quietly saved so many kids that 6,000 people owe their lives to him today

It is genuinely affecting especially because he didn’t know what had become of all the children after delivering them foster families in the UK and he wondered whether he had really made a difference
