At the end of the episode Zak says he hopes they were able to cleanse the house, but that's not what it looked like happened at all... if anything, they only fed it, making whatever is there, more powerful... or it latched onto Jay, as seen by the light shooting out of him then back into him... I don't think they cleansed anything, I think they made it worse.

Well he had Jay & Aaron doing the cleansing ritual, that's what he was talking about I think. I think I'd chop that chair in to firewood and burn it myself lol, or give it to someone I hate :)

Zak probably wanted the chair for his museum.
