How is Paranormal Lockdown?

It has a high rating and positive reviews on its IMDb page, but I don't trust them. They seem fake to me.

CG gore is the worst thing that has ever happened to the horror genre.

Seems a spectrum of reviews on there, good and bad. I think all the reviews are legit. There's a Halloween episode doing a 100 hour lockdown in the Black Monk House tonight, which is a few miles from my house so I'm looking forward to that, you should check it out and see for yourself. I give it a thumbs up based on what I've seen of it.

Which version of the special did you end up watching, the original version or the version with the cutting room floor bonus footage?

reply

Gleaning info from your other post, the first version from TLC.

reply

Yeah, such as it was, that would be the better of the two versions. Given the choice, I don't see the appeal of watching a new episode that included footage that they themselves believed wasn't worth including.

reply

Then you should watch Paranormal Lockdown and decide for yourself.

Why would I watch something that could be terrible? It's always a good idea to ask for legit opinions before watching something. Most of those 10/10 reviews are obviously shills.

I did watch the first 4 episodes though. Not bad, but I don't trust some of the technology they use.

I watch pretty much all of the Paranormal shows, so I thought I'd throw in my 2 cents worth.
I did not like "The Ghosts of Shepard's Town" Really dragged on & the ending was very anti-climatic.
The 2 hour Halloween episode was like being tortured to death veeeeeeeerrrrryyy ssssslooooooooowlyyyyy.
Show had a actual "Plot". But it was never resolved. Just 2 hours of Nick walking around moaning & complaining. I thought I was going to lose my mind! The only reason I watched the entire episode was to keep my wife company.
I'll never get those 2 hours back. I will probably think of that on my death bed.

It's pretty solid and entertaining, not quite as Ghost Adventures but quite good overall. Of course if I have to listen to Nick complain that he's losing his mind again I'll have a reflux.

I like how you wrote that with a straight face. LOL

I was really looking forward to it as Nick always seemed the deeper and more thoughtful one on GA. The problem is Lockdown is so fake, every ep a EVP will say one of their names, hell, most of the EVP's are just straight up noise and after Nick declares it said something you just try so hard to hear it and usually it's just not there.

I found it really boring. And seriously Nick complaining about how scary it is and how dangerous etc, no one is forcing you to do this!

Sometimes a movie or tv show plot is so stupid that only the stupid can understand it.
