Now even for the tough critics out there against this movie, can you tell me how cold your heart must be if you didn't even flinch at the cries from Dan to Lynch "Don't you let her look!"

maybe he was worried that it would make her hungry, seeing all those doggies eating, and he knew she would probably not get anything to eat being up in that chair there, so he didnt want her stomach to start growling...uh...which increases the rate of hypothermia...

Jk, in all seriousness I don't think I flinched but I had to pause the movie multiple times because some scenes felt like... like scratching a chalk board.
I have the DVD of this movie. In the "deleted scenes", it shows wolves absolutely tearing him apart and his intestines coming out. It was horrifying, but if this stuff floats your boat, you'll need to rent or buy the DVD to see it.
shareI went through that exact train of thought, thinking, "I can't believe they wussed out and didn't show anything," then watched the deleted scenes and cringed. One of the wolves grabbed the bone sticking out of his leg!

As "bad" as this movie was, the idea of some scenes is what got to me, and this being one of them. How awful would it be to be stuck up on the lift knowing your loved one is being ripped to shreds by dogs, and you can't really do a thing about it?
There were plenty of plot holes and mistakes made in this movie, but if I watched it for what it was, a couple of the scenes were "ickified" enough to make me feel almost what they did in the movie. Some people said their acting was bad, and I only thought the character Parker was bad with acting. The guys were okay.
I think the actress played the part pretty well. The way she cried while her boyfried was being killed by the wolves was horrifying (correction).
It was a very powerful scene. The movie was full of unprobable things but a few good scenes in it.
I thought they should've just tried climbing the wires before jumping.
The way she cried was embarrassing..?
shareFirst time I've seen this movie and even now, I think it's the most realistic "cry scene" ever seen in a movie, really. When she was talking to Lynch and he said "you could stay home..." and she said "it's not fair" the tears in her eyes let me astonished. So cute.

I thought they were gonna do that at first. I wouldn't have jumped first either. That deleted scene was brutal as hell!

I'm honest enough to admit I'll probably never gonna say something half as brave as that if I'm faced in a similar situation.

I found this "don't you you dare her look" last sentence of Dan so unrealistic.
IRL in that situation one would very probably be SO scared by the wolves about to tear him alive and him about to basically die that I don't think someone would have had the time or be a such a mental state as to think about that and/or to say it aloud. One would be SO full with fears and panic, I've a hard time imaging someone could properly use his reason in that situation.
And I won't comment on the huge plot holes and on what the hell those wolves were doing here....
I know this movie/comment is old but I just saw this movie. I disagree that these wouldn't be his last lines. Love is an incredibly powerful emotion and in a life or death situation like this our survival and those we love are one and the same. Its why men put their wives and kids ahead of them on the Titanic. I think its more instinct than thought, esp. For men and mothers. Of course, its hard for a lot of people now to understand selflessness.
