Why would they leave their faces exposed?

I thought this was the most mind boggling thing. Their jackets could have zipped up almost all the way over their faces. They had hoods. The hood on female even had rip cords to tighten it. I mean wouldn't you even pull your shirt over your face or put your knit hat over your face? They slept all night with their faces exposed like they were on a bench on a boardwalk in San Diego. The girl put the cherry on top by sleeping with her bare hand on the bar.

It was done for the sake of the movie, it would look kind of silly if we were looking at them covered up so extremely and it would be harder for them to communicate with each other and for the audience to understand them.

Do you wake up in the same position you originally started sleeping?

reply

I should have specified. I meant the overnight scene. I mean damn, zip up and go to sleep with your face covered.

And yes I sleep flat on my back with one pillow, like clockwork. If someone put my hand in ice water while I was sleeping, I think I would notice though.

I would think she would pull her hand into her jacket or something!! That bar must have been ice cold! She had her hand on the bar in multiple scenes while she was awake which baffled me.
