All the promotional material I've seen of this movie says it's about a butler who served 8 presidants.

1. Eisenhower
2. Kennedy
3. Johnson
4. Nixon
5. Ford
6. Carter
7. Reagan

Is there something wrong with my math, or does the PR manager for this film have trouble counting?

Well he served Nixon when he was Vice President so he must have served Bush when he was Vice President too, at the very least occasionally. So Bush could be seen as the 8th president he served.
