Did Lewis annoy anyone else

I was willing to buy the whole White House butler has an impact on presidents thing. But then they have to have his son be present for every major civil rights event that took place during this time? I mean he immediately goes from Martin Luther King's inner circle to Black Panther. Ultimately he was on the right side and was right about taking a stand, but it's a bit much when he's there for literally everything.

P.S. Probably my favorite scene is when Oprah was defending him to his father, trying to calm everyone down and have Lewis stay. Then Lewis disrespects Cecil with the butler comment and she does a total 180 slaps him and tells him to get out and take the girl with him. I loved every moment of that. Disrespecting a man who raised you, gave you a good home, never hit you and sent you to college. And you and your girlfriend come dressed like that to family dinner? Come on.

yes and no. I get why he was necessary as a plot point to show what was going on with the people who were directly involved with MLK and the civil rights movement.

But in reality I would not like younger louis. Maybe the older one but not the younger one.
