Brad Anderson is so much better than this story...
Variations of this story have been made into film and series many times. The only twist on this one may have been the kid was infected by a dog, which didn't help the story. From directing the fantastic Session 9 to The Machinist to directing many top notch episodes of great series. Give this guy the right material and IMO, he is a master.
