why do real life mass shooters NEVER have body armour?

I think most of them don't want to live.
A lot of them are looking to die normally, and just wanting to take as many with them as possible.
shareMost of them don't care about living or dying, first off. Secondly, body armor is expensive, can be super heavy, and won't stop certain large caliber bullets anyway. So in their case, especially if the SWAT team gets involved, body armor won't do them any good. But it mostly has a lot to do with them just wanting to die. Body armor is the last thing a suicidal person will take into consideration.
