Longest Pre-Title Sequence?

The Guinness Book of World Records had listed Dennis Hopper’s “The Last Movie” (1971) as the longest pre-title sequence at 30 minutes. So “Fresh” should hold the new world record with 33 minutes before the title card. Both smash the recent “No Time to Die” — at 20 minutes, the longest ever for a Bond.

i doubt it, the movie Climax (2018) is 40 minutes in, there are probably more

reply

Given the subject of this movie, I can only pray that there was T&A included in that 33 minutes

reply

Longest I've ever seen and that's exactly what I said out loud when the opening credits appeared.

reply

Same.

I don't understand that record. There are films that go their entire length before showing the title. (See most of Christopher Nolan's movies.) Shouldn't one of those have the record?

reply

No, those wouldn’t count.
An entire film cannot be called a “sequence.”

reply

"love exposure" has the title card shown at minute 58. then again, it's a 4-hours-movie and it's not a credits sequence, so it probably doesn't count.

I'm a fan. It'll probably get old quick, bur now it's different.
