So...what the hell is this and who is the actress portraying?

She is an American actress. So isn't this cultural approriation under their own rules.
You will get the arguement that her colour is not important to the story but if you make an example of a black historical or fictional figure then suddenly the colour will be the most important trait and must be black.
They cannot even see their own hypocrisy. Remember the new rules makes it so much easier on yourself.
