Fabulous cast......film is lukewarm

With a great cast like this they shouldve delved into Gracies mindset and her role in her community much more. Did the town accept her or just tolerate her? Explore her mental state. The role Portman played made no sense when she slept with him. In the real life events of Mary Kay T, that didnt happen so what was the point of that?
This film had such potential. They never really followed thru to make it feel like some explanation or closure.
Mary Kay was a fascinating person, like her or not. I just felt the film fell flat.

Yeah this was disappointing. Portman and whoever played the husband did a good job acting with the material, but other than that, this was a snoozefest.

Thanks for replying. I posted 6 days ago and Ive almost forgotten the film. Already. That says something on the lack of impact it had on me.

I'm about 15 minutes in and I can already see this isn't going to be my thing. I don't mind a character study but the only characters I see are two hollow shells saying boring dialogue with intrigue music set to repeat.
