From the looks of the trailer it looks like a typical PG-13 action flick, but wasn't the Tomb Raider game reboot rated M for mature?
Why are they not following the game's dark themes?

They never follow the games...based on the 2013 video game...yeah right.I played this game,and still play it...and i know the difference...i was right,Lara will be mocked once again by hollywood...bastards😉
shareYeah, that's what I was wondering too. Looks like another PG-13 cash grab. Though I'm willing to give it a chance, the first Tomb Raider movies with Angelina Jolie were rated PG-13 too and still were fun.
shareI’d be surprised if the rating WASN’T PG-13. I’m not into the games but a hard R rating would probably make this better.
However, because movies based on video games can be a gamble for the studios no matter their rating (e.g, the Resident Evil franchise), a solid movie would be good enough.
