Ater cutting the brother, in the next scene we see her have a bandage as well. How did she get it? We never see her get hurt?
shareI was wondering that, too. And even more peculiar was the fact that she had it on for a longer time than her brother had his, and that's considering that she gave him a very deep cut.
What's fun about this movie is the way it reveals to the audience only what it feels like revealing, just like the parents in relation to their kids.

I imagine the father either cut the daughter's arm, or made the brother do it.
And I agree - I really appreciate the way that the audience is left to observe and make up their own minds about things like this.
Actually during the filming, the actress slipped by the pool and cut it.
