and not treat every movie like it needs to be revolutionary. I saw on rotten tomatoes that is currently has a 19% which brings me to the conclusion that RT is ran by a bunch of know-it-all-lacking-a-funnybone-takes-films-way-to-seriously-jerks-who-need-to-learn-to-laugh. I give it at least an 7-10. Not too bad.

I'm so sick of movie snobs.. The movie was really enjoyable. It was no apocalypse sure but the reviews dont do it justice either..

I chuckled a couple of times but honestly just because Smith directed it i still dont count this as one of his movies. It just wasnt that good.

Why do people hate this movie so much.. I watched this in theaters with my cousin & my dad & we really liked it.

well I still laughed a lot, a lot, a lot actually. I guess the fans of this film (myself included) have the ability to turn our brains off and just enjoy the film.

Absolutely. Not every movie is going to be Citizen Kane. That would be boring anyway. Most times, I just want to kick back and enjoy escapist fare. This fits the bill for me.

granted I made an over the hill observation, but the RT score was way to low! I take other opinions very seriously only when the negative opinions actually note the flaws, most however do not they usually consist of "This movies sucks!" or "Worst movie ever!" You have actually listed what you see as flaws and faults, so yeah my origianl post was written fifteen minutes after I finished the film and I was just amazed at the Rotten Tomatoes score, which I think is unfairly low.

I was expecting it to be awful but it wasn't too bad.
I never laughed out loud but I smirked a few times, and until it got into all the shooting at the end it was pretty entertaining.
I watched it after a pretty *beep* day though...
i loled when the kid (car thief) retorted "your mama's"...
Yeah I won't call this a classic masterpiece, but it's so fun to watch. Especially thd maxium comedy mode
