It looked like a 12 year old directed this movie

What was with the way this film was shot? It was horrible. The music didn't fit either. Why was there a random cut to his wife talking to the neighbor?
All your base is belong to us? wtf?? Why is there a random internet meme in this? Worst Bruce Willis film ever. Not at all funny.

Worse. It was a hack who has recently become a hardcore pothead who directed it. Your average 12 year old could probably come up with a better style.

Worst comedy of the year, bar none.
Makes 'Hudson Hawk' look like feckin' Hitchcock.

Zach Galifianakis?

'Recently' become a hard-core pothead? You haven't seen any of his other movies have you lol?

While his films have had 'stoner' characters for many years, Kevin Smith has explicitly stated that he started smoking on a regular basis only after working with Seth Rogan in 2008 on Zack and Miri.

Some twelve-year-olds have a sharp visual sense. Those who do wind up in film or art school.
I'm not being sarcastic-at college, several of my friends were in film school.

he is a great director

I never really thought much about him as a director. I enjoyed Dogma (mostly), Mallrats, and Clerks because of the actors and writing, not the technical aspects. It's not like his films are overly dramatic or special effects extravaganzas, something that may more readily lend itself to unique or spectacular presentations, but I can't think of any one single scene in the movies I've seen that struck me as a really great piece of film making. I think he's a good story teller, but that's about it.

Hes a crap director... no style at all. He is however a funny guy and a good writer... he should stick to that.

I kept with it for at lease two reasons Bruce and it was shot in South Brooklyn
(Bay Ridge) not far from where I live (Coney Island) the cemetery is the same one from "The House on Carroll Street"
Only there wasn't that much of Brooklyn later on anyway.
BTW my Home subway station the last 14 years is the same one from "The French Connection" Bay 50th St

The music was composed by Harold Faltermeyer, so it was probably a conscious decision on the part of Smith. It makes sense.

That's an insult to all 12 year olds. I think 3 year olds would be more appropriate.

the film just feels like its way out of its time , i could imagine this being out around the time when you had *beep* like beverly hills cop etc was around
