So Much Missed Potential

Dinklage was very funny with the slapstick comedy but the story was filled with plot holes and inexplicable behavior by the characters. Women of all ages wanting to sleep with Phil was silly and not just because he was a little person. He looked absolutely terrible in this film, unkept and exhausted and bleakly depressed (as several characters point out).

The movie also had a subplot preaching the impossibility of normal people being able to afford a home because capitalism has transferred all the wealth to older people during better times. But the protagonist who carries this message is an economics professor who is terrible with his personal economics and scraping by due to his own lethargy and disillusionment.

There were definitely some funny and clever scenes but too few and far apart. The movie had so much missed potential with scenes in which even an average viewer will spot ways the writers could have improved the comedy.

I'm six feet tall, and when I was younger I was not bad looking, and yet there were not a lot of women wanting to fuck me. The life of a dwarf couldn't possibly be full of pussy, especially normal-height pussy.
