When the old lady was forcing him to move the Trans Am, he should've pretended to not know how to drive a stick shift. Like I'd be making it stall and saying "oops, I'm new at this."

Yeah I also thought that was a bit silly. Despite the fact he was handcuffed he still could have overpowered her if he tried grabbing the gun or something. But then again, she was the only one who knew where Anna was so I can understand why he complied.
