Sorry if I sound totally confused but I wasn't born when the original IT stuff was going on but I saw that it's a 2 parter that won an Emmy back in the day. And this new one says it will also be in 2 parts. So then it won't be a movie right? Will it be on a network or stream on Netflix?

This is a theatrical movie, and will appear in theaters. The sequel will presumably follow in another year.

Idk think "another year". More so, two years after Pt. 2.

Ex. Pt.1- 2017 Pt.2 - 2019

It's a theatricals. Part 1 focuses on the kids. Part 2 I guess you can say it's a "sequel/continuations" but it'll focus on when they're adults. Both parts are linear storytelling. However, there hasn't been cast news for Pt. 2 yet.
