Tim Curry Cameo

I know that everyone may not be a fan of this idea, but as a nod to Curry's original take on Pennywise (which was phenomenal), I would love to see him in part 2 of the series as Mr. Keene. I think Curry would fit the role perfect.

Haven't been to the boards in a while, so I don't know if anyone has mentioned recently the idea of him playing this specific character, but I'd like to hear your thoughts!

Maybe, if they have some short thing of Mike interviewing the old people of Derry about the history of the town.

His line about the Losers during the storm would be funny too.

Allot of people bag Tim Curry's Pennywise. But I am one for him. Hey, he managed to scare the sh!t out of me most of my childhood more than any horror icon, so I do give that actor credit. And for him playing Mr. Keen? Sure, why not. Cameos don't really bother me, and even if they are totally minor, they sometimes succeed on sending a good message of deja vu (well, at least with your Tim Curry theory).

That would be nice... in a parallel universe ☺. A stroke isn't a piece of cake: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BMgXboVyxY0

I know it shouldn't...

Such a gentleman. I knew he had a stroke and he was un-able to act, (that's why we all say the "wouldn't be nice" line and "if he could reprise his roll as Pennywise" etc.) I know he can't, We know he can't, but we can all bathe in the "what if's" to our hearts content. And yes, it's unfortunate. Let's just hope Mr. Curry can go to the theatre, see this new adaptation and rightfully exclaim- "I starred as the original Pennywise" and "I'm still a part of this film in a way." But hell, he can still make a cameo. Just because he's in a bad way and in a wheelchair doesn't exactly me he can't show up in the film.

It wasn't aimed at you, or anyone really. Just a mix of stuff about Curry and "what if's." No offence by any means.

I have to agree, it would be great if Tim had a cameo in the movie but as CjBark pointed out, his health isn't that great these days.

If he can show up in The Rocky Horror remake, I'm sure he could cameo in this.

Since this is not a remake of the miniseries but a direct adaptation of the book (competely unrelated to the TV adaptation), I don't see the reaon. Did Christopher Lee have a cameo in Coppola's version of Dracula?
