Sewer set not being used for 2nd part

https://www.instagram.com/p/BLbepgiAyV2/ there taking it down wonder if it will be used in the 2nd part I mean I'd there is a 2nd part..

I think they'll rebuilt it. The studio they filmed in would need to use that filming space for other movies, they can't leave that massive set up for a whole year.

Clicky before anyone says so... 😶

...and I would probably agree with one of those comments. The set cannot stand until the sequel (which isn't even confirmed) so it will probably have to be recreated at a later date. 😮

Doesn't mean anything. They can save all the pieces and rebuild it later. It would be expensive and inefficient to keep it standing in a studio waiting for that long. They're not even sure when part 2 will be shot, and they need to make other movies too.

It's been destroyed. The movie business is incredible that way. The Paul Bunyan statue was cut up and destroyed too. Someone wanted it to put on their property but the production company wouldn't allow it...to the landfill it went.

Currently in the space where "It" was is a movie that just started called Molly's Game (a true story about high stakes, underground, celebrity poker games), and also the new series of Star Trek.

Dude if there's a part 2 it won't be until like 2018, there's no way they'd just leave the set together that long

reply

It's not unheard of for sets to be stored in tractor trailers for a year or two. In this particular case however everything was destroyed.

reply

It doesn't look "destroyed". I see pieces which they can put back up.

Where?

reply

Doesn't mean anything. For all we know, they might want to make the part 2 sewer sets much smaller, ti exaggerate hlw nuch the Losers have grown.

reply

I'm pretty sure they kept blueprints and design notes on how to recreate them, if need be. Wouldn't make sense to keep it around, gathering dust, just to pull it out when the sequel starts shooting.
