Saw it yesterday. Now I see why it's made so much money so far

All the pedophiles going to see Beverly Marsh running around in her bra and panties.

That's not why I saw the movie. I like Stephen King and I wanted to see an R-rated/darker version of IT. I thought the miniseries was more of a 3-hour long episode of Are You Afraid Of The Dark? or Goosebumps. Even Tim Curry's IT/Pennywise is something you'd find out of one of those two shows compared to the IT/Pennywise in the actual novel.

Me too. Loved the movie. Creepy and fun.

Just thought the kids in their underwear was awkward as hell. But I imagine there were a lot of guys out there creepier than Pennywise who went just to see that.

The thing is it was also unrealistic that they would have stripped to their underwear to go swimming even if nobody was around. I grew up in the eighties and even if boys did not have swim trunks on them they would just swim in regular shorts they are wearing because it's not that much different. So when you think about i am not sure why they did the scene with them in their underwear. And for Beverly I am sure in reality the actress was wearing a custom made bathing suit that was designed to look like underwear.

Back when I was that age in the early 70s, we just stripped naked and swam in lakes. That included boys and girls. It was the 60s/70s. None of the fanatical oppression against nudity there is now.

This is nothing compared to some European movies in that regard!

reply

No comparison at all.
