WHy the Rape warning?

Never did I see anybody getting raped in this movie at all. What gives? Obviously there was her pervert father touchy touchy, feelzy feelzy but never rape. WHat the hell is wrong with Hollywood? Crazy bastards.

Beverly's father came that close to subduing her and then raping her. If she hadn't got her leg up so she could kick him in the balls, he would've succeeded. Perhaps even seeing the attempted rape for some people brings back very bad memories, or causes awkward questions.

Spot on. It’s also heavily implied that it wasn’t the first time, so yeah those scenes could be incredibly upsetting to rape, incest and abuse survivors. The warning is a courtesy and I have no problem with it.

Agreed completely. Although there were rape warnings for the movie, as OP stated. There was no rape scene in the film though.

Almost doing something means it didn't actually happen, it only almost happened.
Lots of things almost happen in films, but there's no need for warnings for them because they didn't in fact happen.

Why are you bothered there's a warning about sexual crime related stuff? That stuff bothers some people. He tries to rape her and it's implied he had done it before. And you're bothered there's a little written warning?
