I think this never really happened, Ellen was writing a book . Ellen will marry Matt they were together in the beginning. Before Stefan showed . That's why everyone who died is coming back on final. They are back for big wedding in mystic falls . Her uncle Jon will walk her down .

Spoiler Alert if you haven't seen "What Are You" (2/10 episode) I think with Stefan becoming human & Elena turning human, I see a Stelena endgame. It's the only one that makes sense. Stefan eluded to the fact he could no longer see himself with Caroline now that he's human (I love Stefan & Caroline together). There is no telling though. This show loves to throw things out there to make us think one way & then BAM! go another. Just an FYI: I'm not a Stelena or Delena shipper. I really have a preference for which one she ends up with or if she ends up with either.

shareStelena's story never really finished though... Other stuff just got in the way. I have kept watching in the hope that Stelena will find their way back to each other. If Stelena isn't endgame I don't think I could bring myself to care about any of the other characters... I would feel so cheated somehow. But it's only my opinion, even though Stelena won by a mile in the Stelena/Delena vote so I know most others watching want Stelena over Delena.

I think the endgame pairings will somehow be Damon/Elene, Stefan/Caroline, and Bonnie/Enzo. I don't see Matt being Elena's endgame at all. The only wildcard being that Julie Plec said there would "soft of" be a Klaus/Caroline moment. Not sure what that means other than perhaps a hint that Stefan and Caroline won't be together or one of them dies and Klaus attends the funeral. Either way, Klaus being mentioned may spell doom or Stefan and/or the relationship.
