I was really looking forward to seeing this (SPOILERS)

After all the hype and the 4 Oscars and the IMDB rating, I did watch it, streaming on Hulu, and I was seriously WTF'ing throughout. I like Emma Stone, Mark Ruffalo, and Willem Dafoe, but in this? I made it through the whole movie, thinking it would get better, but it didn't, except for a few comedic moments.

I understand that Emma Stone doesn't mind nudity if it serves the narrative of the story, but here she did herself no favors, showing herself fully nude in some scenes and barely clothed in others, and not looking good in any of them. Okay, that's her artistic choice, I suppose. Also, all the many simulated sex scenes were more than a bit much.

Nuff said.
