reply

RIP Anton! Thanks for the memories. It was too soon Youngblood.

reply

Rewatched it tonight in remembrance of Anton. A bit macabre given the plot.

Fright Night is by far my most favourite movie starring Anton Yelchin. It is unbelievable we won't be seeing him anymore in any movie.
RIP dearest Anton. A young, humble, talented boy like you deserved a much longer life. Thank you for all the good roles you brought us.

You should watch Charlie Bartlett, his best performance ever, should have gotten an Oscar nom for it.

reply

Yessssss Charlie Bartlett is just wonderful! When I found out "Charlie Bartlett" was playing the new "Charley Brewster" I was very pleased. He was so great in everything! :(

reply

So so so so so damn sad. I really can't believe it. I found out when I was already feeling crappy, I actually put Fright Night in my blu player to watch, because this remake is one of my fave movies so thought it would cheer me up - then checked my phone and read the news, utterly weird and shocking :'(

Spoilers ahead!

When he's standing at his door with the beers as Jerry is talking about how Amy and his mom are 'putting out', the expression on his face is priceless - fierce and erotic all at once. Great performance, and I appreciated how his mom was far more involved in this version and even saved his life at one point.

reply

That was a good quality. In the original it was more of a dizty version who was clueless. I wonder if they made part three would her part be expanded upon?

reply

Yeah I just started watching the movie when I remembered he died in his 20s.

It's sad to see him in this movie knowing he only had a few years left to live.

Such a tragic death, too. RIP.
