Your most regretful deaths

What characters did you feel most sad about when they died? Obviously, except Spartacus. For me, it was Donar (I really liked this character, can't say why though) and Lugo.

Ashur

Such a great character! Wish they could have found a way to get him off that mountain and into Crassus service!

reply

Ilithyia's baby when Lucretia jumped into the ocean with him in her arms.

reply

Barca's death. As Lucretia and Battiatus jested "He wished for his freedom... a betrayal in itself." It was then you realized that no gladiator or slave would ever be freed by their house. Until death so to speak. Every slave after Barca would have suffered the same fate if it wasn't for Spartacus and Crixus' Revelation by the final episode.

reply

Except that Barca was a douche who got what he deserved....

reply

Oenomaus, i expect he would last a bit more.

Saxa for sure, she had so much to live for, and then it's over... :C

Diona,

Her rape was brutal as was her subsequent treatment as a sex toy. It seemed marginally happy when she escaped so I was shocked to see her on the sands being executed after having been caught. What seemed worse to me than her death was the thought of what had likely happened to her in the hours between her capture and her execution. It stands to reason that guards would be more than willing to take liberties with a pretty girl if they knew she was going to die anyway. It was almost a relief when the sword ended her life.
