Were the Florrick kids too forgiving of Peter?

From rewatching the series, in the first and second seasons they really don't seem to be mad at Peter for cheating on Alicia. There's times when they seem a little weird about him coming back to live with them, but they never seem angry. Personally I'd be furious at my parent if they cheated on the other, especially with some random hooker. I know they were kids but I'd think Zach was old enough to be mad for a little while at Peter cheating on Alicia.

As someone who is now binge watching, I think Alicia may have played a part in the kids not hating their dad.

She might have did that mom bullshit of your dad made a mistake, he still loves you, I am not mad at him, blah, blah, blah....... and these kids just accepted that, so I guess TV.

But I'm with you.
If my dad slept with a prostitute and disrespected my mom like that and then came to live with us when let out of prison, trying to bond with me with the Wii?
I'd be locked in my room, with a FU attitude teenage angst.
