Switched at birth

Ok, I know they already did a switched at birth story with Brick but have you ever noticed this?

Sean Donahue looks just like Mike. It's not just that he's tall like Mike but they look the same around the mouth. I never noticed it until I saw them in a scene together talking.

Meanwhile Axl favors Nancy Donahue with his wavy dark hair and round face. Plus, he's short like Nancy.

Too funny.

You are right. I can't believe I never noticed that before.

Me too. It always seemed weird that Mike was so tall and Axl was so short. But I didn't think about the hair. Both Sue and Brick have straight hair like Mike and Frankie. But where did Axl's come from.

And then I saw the similarities between Mike and Sean. It's uncanny how much they look alike.

It is weird actually that Axl is short whereas Mike and all the males in his family side are so tall. But i think it's done on purpose to show exactly how hilariously dysfunctional they are as a family, even when it comes to genes.

Also Axl looks a bit like Frankie, face wise.

reply

Axl looks like Frankie face wise? Um...huh
Wow

reply

I am not saying they are identical obviously, but they could definitely be mother and son

reply

I don't see the Mike/Sean resemblance.

I do see the Nancy/Axl resemblance.

However, Frankie said that Axl gets his rosy cheeks from her grandmother. So I guess looks skipped a generation for him.

Does anybody still have the link to that restaurant with the lady who looked like Axl?
It would be hilarious if they worked that into an episode.

I wish I could find it but the thread looks like it's been archived. The photo was Axl's twin! I can't even remember who posted it but hopefully he/she will return and see this & post it again.

I had reposted the links and I found them in my history (in a thread about "gay subtext"):

(this link doesn't work any more but the other one does)(I just noticed it's an IMDB thread, probably gone)(ought to be possible to find nonnaspizzapasta.com)

But Frankie is no giant. Trouble with shows where the kids start off as kids. You don't know where it will lead when they grow up. Home Improvement as prime example.

I've never even thought of it that way. You are right.

Charlie was 18/19 when cast, right? I doubt they believed he would grow a great deal after that age. They also wanted somebody to look like a 14 year old.
