Why Axl is named Axl.
My theory:
Every time they call him 'Axl', I hear 'asshole.'
I think the writers did that on purpose, because, yeah, he is an asshole 99% of the time.
But I've heard the actor who plays him, Charlie McDermott, is a nice guy who's very shy. So kudos to him for good acting.
