Uhm... Why christianity?

I understand that the movie is supposed to be based on a true story, and so I'm going to assume that the whole catholic stuff and the priests and all of that mattered only because people believed in them.

But the question that never left me once when I was watching this movie is, why christianity? If it happened in Africa in some village somewhere, would the rules of that land's people's religion apply instead? Or ancient Greek mythology? If they were going by simply picking christianity because it was the religion most people believe, then I may be wrong, but isn't it islam that has the most followers these days?

Like, how do people find it plausible for christianity and only christianity no doubts whatsoever to be the true religion?

they don't teach you in schools that there were DOZENS of religions before
lame ass christianity and islam, nor that both are made up

Did they teach intellectual powerhouses like yourself that "coz" isn't a word in school?

Everybody knows this. Christians and Muslims don't believe that their religious beliefs are the first ever established religions on the planet, so that's rather moot.

There have been several horror movies in the last decade that have dealt with Jewish demons. The movies "The Possession", as well as "Demon", both tell the story of people being possessed by a demon called a Dybbuk, which is Hebrew for malevolent spirit.

This is big mystery at all. The answer is simple it’s this is based off the case files of the Warrens and they are Catholic.

Why do you assume Christians think there is only one religion? That’s far from the truth. You may want to read the Bible which mentions many religious. The seperation is Jesus said “I am the way.” He was saying He was the way Heaven and eternal life. Religion is based in faith and in that faith is truth. I’m a Christian and I have friends who believe in different religions. I’d never say their religion doesn’t exist because that’s their faith.

A Catholic priest is who gets called when they're is any type of evil that needs to be cleansed. Even protestants will call a Catholic priest.
