They need to go here for the thing. Now some tired action. Then here for the other thing. And some more tired action. Oh look, there's some bugs. And now a mystery and... oh wait, Indy solved it immediately. And now we go here. More boring action. And then we go here.
Ending was the only good part.
They hire 5 year olds as writers now, so they can appeal to the minds of today who are as bright a 5 year olds. I guess it makes business sense.

For once they did not cheap out on the writers.
So I blame the producers, especially Kathleen Kennedy, I think it is her vision of "put a chick in it and make her gay" made it happen.
I can see that definitely happening.
