Trusting the audience...

Interesting, I thought, that there's been no comment from any character regarding that momentary glimpse of a green, healthy-appearing outdoor from the main window just as the power went out. Normally writers allude to something like that from within the story. I'm only up to episode 8, but I trust Jules will likely be sent out to discover the world isn't barren & toxic. Still, leaves one to wonder how & why, if people survive being expelled from the silo, they don't reappear & try to communicate or even liberate those still within.

I wonder the same thing. I'm assuming Houston and Allison are out there somewhere. Since I'm going with that premise, I assume they are unable to communicate with the Silo for whatever reason we yet know. I also get the feeling we won't find out too much since it's about to conclude. If we do, I think the show would rush into a "cram all answers into a small timeframe" type of show. And those tend to ruin it.

Avoiding spoilers at the moment, I'm in the midst of reading the books (book two, Shift, has been a bit of a chore to plog through), but suffice to say the series ends about midway through book one. And we do learn about the circumstances outside.
