A Review

If you already watched "The Northman," "RRR," and "John Wick: Chapter 4," but still don't have your fill of hyper-violent mayhem, then "Sisu" is for you. And make sure you catch it right now on the big screen because this movie is epic!

A Naziploitation, treasure-hunting war thriller where anything is possible. At only just over an hour and a half, it proves less is indeed more, rebuking the current Hollywood blockbuster standards of 2.5+ hrs. where more is less. While unbelievability is part of its charm, there are a few things I just couldn't turn my brain off for. Like, why do all the trained German soldiers in this movie have the aim of a Storm Trooper, despite presumably having years of combat experience? I find it hard to believe these guys would have lasted this long in WWII without being able to hit shit.

But logic complaints are irrelevant here. "Sisu" is already one of my favorite unexpected gems of the year.
