Digital release date - 19th April

Many would have been aware that this movie was releasing on Shudder on the 19th but it's now been confirmed it'll also be on your standard 'premium video on demand' services such as Amazon, on the same date.

I'm looking forward to checking this out given the hype around it.

You havent seen it yet?

reply

No. I don't bother with theatres any more. I'm a wait and watch it at home absolutely pissed up on booze sort of guy.

What is the last great horror movie you have seen?

reply

Depends how loosely you define great but over the past few years I've really enjoyed;
- The Night House (2020)
- Malignant (2021)
- Smile (2022)
- Barbarian (2022)
- Prey (2022)
- X (2022)
- Pearl (2022)
- Talk to Me (2022)
- Evil Dead Rise (2023)
- Saw X (2023)

Some others that I liked: The Black Phone (2021), Terrifier 2 (2022), Scream (2022), Scream VI (2023), Thanksgiving (2023).

Thanks, I'll check those out.

I watched it today. My thoughts: An interesting concept and there are some effective moments. It's nifty and mostly fun, but never quite reaches greatness. I wouldn't consider it one of the best recent horror films, but it is an enjoyable and satisfying watch. 7/10.

Is it more scary or funny?

reply

I would say it is more suspenseful or creepy, than scary or funny. I didn't laugh at all, but I didn't find it scary. It does a good job of building suspense with some creepy moments, leading up to the climax.

reply

That sounds good. I was wondering because I saw it advertised as a horror comedy. I'm going to watch it later tonight.
