Is anyone else excited for the new John Carpenter soundtrack? I'm probably as excited for the soundtrack as I am for the film itself!
shareWord has gotten out that the soundtrack will be released on CD as well as standard black and limited-edition orange vinyl.

From almost the very beginning, my interest in this Halloween “slowly” intensified with every new update that came out. However, when it was confirmed Carpenter was going to provide the music for this new chapter in the series (this time he’ll “co-score” it, I believe), I suddenly became more ecstatic than I previously ever was for this new Myers film.
Right now, I can say that I feel equal excitement for both the film & the music. And if this time Carpenter’s music is as impactful as many of his musical scores were for his classics films (most notably the original Halloween), then we should expect some greatness.

The soundtrack is up for pre-order! I'm going to wait a bit to see if I can get it on Amazon (I know I should support the smaller sites, but with my Prime, Amazon would guarantee delivery on the release date). Can't wait! Will listen to the disc a few times, then do a Carpenter marathon (I have most of his music)!
