So pretty much H20

My major gripe about this film is that it seems to just repeat what H20 was. Laurie is on the attack. Big whoop. One of the things that made the original and the sequel so great was that you really feel for the Laurie character. A sweet innocent girl who has a serial killer/stalker after her. The character is in defense mode 100% of the time as Michael Myers is the hunter. I like H20 for what it is but it could never touch the original and sequel for this very reason and now they seem to be doing it again. I think a better way to go would have been to ignore absolutely every thing that came before including the original and start over with a new story.

Actually, in H20 Laurie is really just on the attack toward the end.

In the beginning she's just living a semi-normal life under a new identity. She's paranoid, but hasn't really prepared for Michael's return. The most she's done is get a revolver.

If anything, it's more like the beginning of Resurrection, where she's gone totally nuts and has set a trap for Michael for when he comes for her.

At least we don't have LL Cool J narrating his new novel and discussion of "round melon breasts."
