More misogynistic bullcrap

So tired of Hollywood's ongoing war on women.

reply

Really? Wilson and Zach couldn't be bigger *beep*

What?! The stepmother was the catalyst for everything good!

reply

I must've blacked out for the part that was negative towards women....cause I sure didn't see it.

What? how could u not be aware of the misogyny in this film? lol what planet are you on.....The only woman this film is 'kind' to is used as a sex object (she sleeps with the lead to ''bring him back'' or some *beep* she is used as a literal sex object for character development..). and owen wilson's character is a disgusting creep, this film seemed so out of touch with itself and unaware... like when he chops down the tree to perve at that woman, he doesn't even realize this is gross and perverted behavior?? like who on earth would do something like that, instead we are suppose to sympathize with this loser when he realizes how ''empty'' his life is blablabla....I feel like I just wasted so much time watching this, I thought since amy poehler was in it she would add something to it, but all the female characters were written without any arch or substance. nothing new here at all, it is hollywood after all... the cast is all-white, the female characters cater to female stereotypes, predominately to serve the male gaze. So tired of these films, that masquerade as something they're not..all it is is shallow garbage.

reply

You must've stopped watching (which is fair enough) but basically all of what you wrote was realized by wilson's character at the end (except for the race-card comments).

reply

Wow, someone sure bought into a parroted pack of rhetorical bs and didn't understand and wasn't able to contextualize (including with respect to other films) what they watched.

"all the female characters were written without any arch" Do you mean any arc? This is the kind of movie in which people don't change too much too quickly, that is, a realistic movie. (Whether they're female or not.)

reply

"The only woman this film is 'kind' to" Who is this film "kind" to? Is it "kind" to Jenna Fischer's character? Owen Wilson's? Paul Schulze's? Is it the job of films about flawed people to be "kind" to those people?

reply

DAFUQ????
Go watch "frozen" or "maleficent" or something, you'll be quite happy with the war against "evil man always taking advantage of womans" and powerful woman that endure life alone...

This , in fact, is pure *beep* specially when designed for children... expect more hatred with no reason in the future...

I'm getting tired of this world - to soon if you ask me.

More bullcrap about misogyny, which is probably the favorite word of about 30% of the female population today. When will men realize that the very term "War on Women" is a use of THE BIG LIE to wage a War on Men? C'mon guys, are you all really that dumb?

Yes. It is shallow garbage, I think.
No. It is not misogynistic. The men are losers, fools, jerks & obvious perverts. You said so.

reply

The word misogynistic has to be the favourite 'insult' that feminists can come up with. 
