To me that seems rather odd. It's not the type of movie that would normally appeal to a younger crowd, as it deals with issues that couldn't possibly be appreciated by most people until later in life.
I thought it was pretty dam good and I'm 34.

I agree. I'm 36. I didn't love it but I really appreciate what Weiner was trying to do.
Most 18 yo males aren't going to like a dramedy, emphasis on the drama, in the style of 70's auteur movies that has themes of gratitude, friendship, and becoming an adult.

I'm 29 and I also enjoyed it. Not a great movie, but entertaining enough to hold my attention, for sure.
