Did it remind you of...?
I swear I couldn't stop thinking about my Grandma...and then it hit me! Summers spent at her house and big brown paper bags FILLED TO THE BRIM with Harlequin Romance novels...you know...the historical ones. I would be bored out of my mind and read the summer away with those books. I can't help but admit it but I loved those larger than life never gonna happen to any of us stories. I think in some ways they give us hope. This movie reminded me of those books forever ago.
The problem with the movie for me was the fact too little introduction was given for each character and the complexities of what the main character's addictions and what were feeding those addictions were only lightly touched upon. To do justice to the moral of the story they should have just made it an epic but that wasn't ever going to happen.
Will a book be published or has one come out that would better explain all the questions we have?
