Not a good deal to make with Verna (The Raven)

Why bother, if they had an inkling of thought that the deal would be actual?
They just entombed the boss, and Roderick was going to be named CEO on his own - without Verna's help. Sure she promised no legal troubles but not worth the risk.
They should been more like Prynn and said thanks but no thanks.

True, they really did not need her. But I guess they were nervous about getting caught. Plus, she was very vague about their future.

But really Pym had nothing to offer her anyway, he implied as much. It seemed she wanted to torture the twins by killing everyone in their family (and in the worse way possible) , but other than Lenore it seemed that Roderick didn't really care about any of them.
