So how did it end?

I quit watching the last season after the first few episodes. The show became just unbearable to watch. But I'm wondering...for those of you who finished the season...how did it end? And how would you compare the last season to all the previous seasons?

reply

The season isn’t over yet.

Seriously...its not??

Well, the Gallaghers sold their house for $75,000 to a guy Lip knew from years ago, each get $15K USD. The house was not destroyed or burned down, still stands, somewhat trashed as usual. Frank died in the last episode, and in the credits scene was cremated, preventing some sort of "he might be still alive" scenario in a future spinoff.

Fiona only made an appearance in Frank's flashbacks before his passing and it was all just past footage from the earliest seasons. Kev and V still seemed like they were heading to Kentucky, and the bar may be sold to some Chicago police officers, including Carl, but there was no confirmation on that. Deb's probably heading to Texas. Frank ends the show telling his still living in Chicago kids in the letter what he thinks of them.

In the end Frank tells the audience to not waste their life, make it a good one, as he floats out of the Alibi bar, above the Willis Tower, high above the city of Chicago and flies up and high above Lake Michigan. The show is over.

You got it all covered. Loved the tattoo on Franks Chest, and his file cart. Did they say before he went that it was a Positive Test for Covid ? he for sure lost it at the end but can a person really ignite from Booze ? I watched the Hall of Shame about the Kids "growing up to fast" Saturday & really enjoyed that.
