I started watching this movie with some basic expectations and the
beginning was fine. After about 45 minutes I couldn't take it any more
and turned off the television feeling bad about having wasted my time.
Did someone mention that this is one of the scariest horror movies? I
would vote for one of the most ridiculous horror movie ever made!
It was a chore to get through--you missed nothing except a goofy finale which just looks like a dude walking around one of the mazes at Knott's Scary Farm. Except those are actually scarier than this movie.
I am baffled that so many people find this movie disturbing--it just looks like a bunch of buffoons in Halloween costumes. Oh well, to each his own as the saying goes.

shareI think there's few directors who can pull off the silly, ghost train, rollercoaster horror. Sam Raimi is one of them. Insidious is the perfect example how not to do it. Even the "subtle" first half is way too in your face.
