One of the best horror films

This movie is one of the best.
Yes they use sound to make you jump but it works every time.

I watch like 10 horror films a week, and this one is just one of the best.
No gore at all, but a lot of scary stuff going on.

most scary part of the movie is when the mother tales about her dream, and she can still hear the scratches, and then you hear the scratches and the demon stands next to the guy.

great great movie, one of the best scary films around with good acting and interesting plot.

I agree. You don't need gore to be scary. Movies like this are the scariest because they get inside your head and stay with you for a long time.

Definitely one of the better ones I've seen for awhile.

Besides the reasons already mentioned, the characters generally behave sensibly and don't engage in contrived stupidity. The plot focuses on an area not that well covered before by previous films. The acting is all quite professional and I was especially taken with Lin Shaye as Elise Rainier, who really doesn't play your typical movie psychic.

My one disappointment was that in the two "action" set piece in the second half, typically (since it has almost become fashionably common) it was really difficult to see what was actually going on, due to the gloom, handheld camera work and quick edits.

But overall dcertainly worth seeing IMO.🐭
