This show needs better writers

I just watched an episode in which two cops and two criminals were all in an elevator. They ended up pulling guns on each other, then argued for 10 seconds or so who should drop theirs. In real life cops don't do that, they don't wait for someone to drop his or her gun. They shoot before they get shot. I think most people would do this too. But, this is television and this kind of thing happens all the time so, let it pass. However, then the criminal starts shooting and, guess what, he misses. A foot away and he misses. The other criminal missed too, of course, but they cops, no they hit their targets. What are the odds? I could go on but that's enough for now.
