shareIt's obvious to me that IMDb sees "the vast majority of our more than 250 million monthly users worldwide" as liberal or left-leaning. They see the current political climate and understand that it's just going to keep getting worse for them on the message boards. Especially on the politics board. Gotta protect the snowflakes.

But ever since the election, you people have been inappropriately inserting politics into movie and TV show discussions and that may very well have been the tipping point. And if that's the case, you only have yourselves to blame for the boards shutting down.

Politics has been a part of movie and TV show discussions here at IMDb since day 1. What? You think it never was but then started up after the 2016 election? Pfft! Please! It isn't any different now than it was ten years ago or more. What's happened since the election, more than likely, is that the bitching, whining and crying of the snowflakes has increased tenfold. Just look at what's going on in the streets and at college campuses (UC Berkeley?). Liberals have gone completely bat spit insane over the results of this past election. They have become unhinged. They're violently shutting down free speech simply because they don't agree with or like what's being said. Just listen to yourself: "..inappropriately inserting politics into movie and TV show discussions.." What? These are public discussion boards, where people are free to discuss whatever they want, wherever they want.
And speaking of what's going on in the streets, you didn't see conservatives violently rioting when Obama was elected. Did you? So, with what the political reality will be for the next eight years (that's right, eight years), the bitching, whining and crying from the snowflakes is only going to get worse. There's your "positive, useful experience" going down the tubes. You need to do a 180 with your finger pointing.
